Genesis Study

Welcome to the Circular Grace Genesis Study.  I set out on a personal mission to understand the meaning, messages and history revealed to us in the Book of Genesis.  My starting position is that I believe unquestionably that the Bible is the infallible Word of God.  My mission is not a search for evidence to back up my faith, my mission is to know God better.  I'm attempting to join up the dots, to understand more completely why Jesus sacrificed Himself for me.  I would like a better appreciation of how my salvation relates to the salvation of the World.

I decided to document my progress in the form of a shared study.  I will be moving chronologically through the chapters and sharing what the verses are revealing.  I'll be leaning heavily on and sharing respected commentaries throughout.   Alongside my study of Holy Scripture, I will be delving into many of the arguments for and against creationism.  My experience of discussions with non believers and some believers is that they often accept evolutionism without questioning the validity of the theory.  You are very welcome to join me on my journey and maybe we can learn more together.  Maybe you see things differently, maybe you spot things that I miss.  Regardless of where you are personally, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

My journey begins in Lesson 1 and subsequent lessons will be added over time as my personal study continues.  More content and friendly discussion is available through free membership to the Circular Grace Patreon group (free at all levels now and always)

Lesson 1

This lesson introduces the Book of Genesis by investigating the profound revelation that Jesus is in Genesis and existed before the universe was created!

Lesson 3

This lesson helps us see that God created the universe from nothing. This paints a picture of God existing eternally, before He created time, elements or materials.

Lesson 2

This lesson focusses on the revelation that God spoke the universe into being.  We look at Genesis 1:1-8 and observe the significance of the phrase,

"And God said".

Lesson 4

This lesson helps us to imagine the first day of God's creation.  The sun isn't created until day 4 but on the first day, light is called day and darkness is called night.

Next Lesson Coming Soon!

I am currently working on the next lesson in this series.  If you would like to be notified when the next lesson is uploaded consider becoming a member of Circular Grace.  Membership is free now and always. My Mission to Share

I want to share the life transforming Word of God with others firstly because Jesus asked me to.  Secondly, my personal experience is that I know Jesus better because I read scripture.
